 About us
We got married on August 20th, 2005 after nearly 17 years together...we didn’t want to rush into anything!! After the wedding, we made serious plans for our move to Turkey. They say that the most stressful times in your life are when you get married, move (sell house), emigrate, divorce and give birth. Well, we got married, I had to sell my house and we emigrated. Thank heavens we weren’t getting divorced and Lynda is definitely not producing any more offspring!
We hailed from Saffron Walden and Chelmsford in Essex and took a huge step in moving to Turkey. The worst part, naturally, was leaving behind our families and all our wonderful friends but Turkey is not that far in a shrinking world, so, hopefully, you’ll all visit us frequently.
I never had any kids but Lynda has 2 wonderful children, Lee and Lisa who are married to Jane and Ian. To keep us all on our toes, there is Jack (Brilliant all-round Sportsman), Georgia (Typical woman, clever at everything), Amber (Future Super Model), Jade (Worldly wise Northerner) and the latest addition, Tia, who is 2 years old and calls Grant, ‘Granddad with the tickles’.
Lynda is a prolific cake maker and Lee and Ian’s loss is Side’s gain! I keep myself occupied with our huge garden and I am also helping out in an estate Agency, unpaid of course!
